The aim of this software is to help students attain higher grades in their Junior Certificate through a rigourous revision process using past examination questions. The software can also be used by teachers to test students at the end of a module of work.
The software was developed as part of a Master of Science programme in Educational Technologies and received a first class honours award.
The software was rigorously tested with Junior Certificate students over four 40 minute sessions, using a pre-test post-test method with a control group for comparison.
From the results of the research it was shown that the software was extremley beneficial to students sitting both Higher and Ordinary level exams
but was Proven to be particularly effective with academically weaker students
